Our fabrics (exclusive of trims) are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, which means they’ve undergone testing and are free of more than 300 hazardous chemicals, allergens, and skin irritants (think pesticides, heavy metals, carcinogenic colourants, formaldehyde, and pesticides).

Children’s clothing goes through an extra saliva test to be sure dyes are set properly and won’t cause harm if they suck on them. Testing certifies that the textiles pose no health risk and have a skin-friendly pH level (i.e. won’t cause irritation). We opted for this higher standard not only for health reasons, but also because leaving these toxins out of our products is better for the planet – and that’s something we care about deeply.

Starfish Kids clothes are made to be easy to wash & dry. Machine wash cold with like colors. Tumble dry low, cool iron if needed. Only non-chlorine bleach when needed.

Simply put: We obsess over every last detail. From the design of each style to the supersoft OEKO TEX-certified fabrics to the superior fits that make for an always-polished look. And we vet all of our suppliers to ensure our products are made in safe, ethical conditions that adhere to our strict standards.

We may be just a wee bit biased, but we think you can’t go wrong with a gift from Starfish Kids! Simply select “gift” at checkout and write a message we’ll enclose with your package. (And don’t worry, we will not include prices on packing slips that have a gift message). Your item(s) will be wrapped in our beautiful tissue paper with a sticker and your message for that special feel.

If you’d like to be added to a waitlist for a specific product, you can sign up on the product page to be notified via email when the item becomes available.

We currently offer monogramming on our Cozy Initial Crew, and think it’s a lovely way to make our products more personable, whether for your own little ones or for a unique gift for friends or family. 

Please note- monogram items have an additional 2 week lead time and will ship separately from other non-monogrammed items in your order.  Also, due to their made-for-you nature, all monogram items are non-refundable.

Ordering & Shipping

For all orders with Starfish Kids, you should receive an email from us shortly after submitting your order.  If you’re unsure of whether your order was submitted, please email us at and we’d be happy to check for you!

We are pleased to offer free shipping on all orders over $75, usually delivered within 7-9 business days. For orders below $75, standard shipping is $8.

Your order should ship within 1-2 business days of our receiving it.

Returns & Exchanges

You will receive a shipping confirmation email when your order begins shipping that will allow you to track the shipment details.

We sincerely apologize that this happened. Please contact us at with a picture of your item and we will work with you on the best resolution.

We’re happy to return or exchange items within 30 days of purchase. Items must be unwashed and unworn with tags attached and in the same condition you received it.

Please email us at to initiate a return or exchange. We require customers to pay return shipping charges and will ship any new items free of charge.

Assuming your return meets our return criteria noted in our returns & exchanges policy above, we will refund your item(s) within 2 business days of receiving and processing your return in our warehouse and confirming that it meets the criteria for returns.
